Life after Graduation
As Mimi Magazine's marketing development coordinator, I love building meaningful relationships with local business owners and empowering their brands. While enrolled in the UMU MBA program, I worked in corporate and pursued the Leadership & Innovation concentration to increase my business acumen and develop my leadership skills. Shortly after graduating, I became unemployed, took a six-month sabbatical, and landed a position at Mimi Magazine, highlighting my transformational leadership style, passion for small businesses, and community connections.
Mount Union's MBA Program
The MBA program influenced my career trajectory and opened opportunities for changing industries/roles. I've learned that you can have a career goal in mind; however, from personal experience, reality differs. I enrolled in Mount Union's undergraduate program, hoping to become a pediatrician, but I ended up in the chemical industry. A decade later, a layoff led me to a career in marketing for a local magazine partnering with small businesses. The small class sizes, outstanding teaching staff, and integral MBA program made Mount Union a top choice for graduate school. Therefore, I would (and have) recommended the program to others.
